Ram Pride Mural

A Local non-profit called, “Project Curb”, makes its mission to “work collectively with SHPS and the community to maintain and improve the aesthetics of our schools, matching the exterior of the buildings to the remarkable things happening on the inside.” This mural was no exception. When they approached me about the possibility, I was honored and excited to create public art at my alma mater. As a team working with the student body, we worked to create a student driven art piece reflective of Project Curb’s mission and the values of the school and its constituents. Students were given a survey to influence the designs, then presented with the two designs to vote on before the painting commenced. Students were also given opportunities to help with painting the mural in the early stages to help leave their mark on the school. The result was a true spectacle of Ram Pride spreading across all three sides of an exterior wall.
