One of South Haven’s greatest attractions are the beaches along Lake Michigan. People and families from all over flock to its shores to enjoy a day at the beach. Ryan Moore, a local business owner, wanted a mural created that would “give the locals something to be proud of” and that would be a true and recognizable representation of home. The mural illustrates the many activities and pastimes many partake while at the beach including, but not limited to, boating, sunbathing, swimming, building a sandcastle, strolling along the shoreline, flying a kite, reading, drawing, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, yoga, canoeing and kayaking. The figures depicted are both real and imagined. This mural was created on wooden panels in my home studio and was later installed at Moore Pharmacy.
