“All Day Play” illustrates the joy and curiosity of children when left to their own devices outdoors. Local children of varied ages and ethnicities are depicted playing from dawn till dusk wrapping around three of the four sides of the public facilities building at one of the busiest parks in South Haven, Kids Corner. It was a joy to photograph children from my own community and to celebrate them within public art. Each child is painted realistically set in a vibrant and whimsical landscape reminiscent of a child’s imagination. The mural was funded by the City of South Haven.
