Lake Michigan Inspired
Bicycle Rack
If you were to take a stroll through downtown South Haven in Spring through Fall, you would come upon a number of individually painted bicycle racks. The racks were curated by South Haven Center for the Arts in collaboration with the City of South Haven. Eighteen artists were juried in and commissioned to paint each rack, which is why each is so different and unique. They stand apart in their design, but together in their form. This rack was designed and executed by Kayla Wyszynski Ridley and Gracie Ridley to illustrate an underwater scene reminiscent of the marine wildlife that calls Lake Michigan and the Black River its home. The rack showcases 4 varied portholes into the subaquatic world.
