This mural was a private commission created in South Haven. The homeowners, fortunate enough to live along the bluff of Lake Michigan, had a beautiful overlook in their backyard. They wanted to recreate their gorgeous view one story below in their basement as if it were a window. I took a number of photographs in an attempt to capture the natural beauty of the overlook and selected one that took place just prior to the sun setting where the sunlight spilled over the landscape. The wall itself had more of a fresco style finish adding a textural component to the piece. It was later framed in on the wall by a local contractor giving it a polished final look.
